Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin Will Host the 2010 Oscars

Alec Baldwin Steve Martin will host the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010. They will follow Hugh Jackman, the 2009 host of the Oscars, who announced last week that he would not return to helm next year’s ceremony. While Baldwin is a first-time Oscar host, Martin has some experience hosting the Academy Awards, he hosted the 73rd and 75th Academy Awards. The duo have a friendly hosting rivalry on the sketch comedy hit Saturday Night Live. Steve Martin hosted SNL 15 times but Alec Baldwin has hosted the sketch comedy just 14 times. Steve said Tuesday that: "I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin". Baldwin added "I don't play the banjo but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars its the opportunity of a lifetime". The 2010 Academy Awards will be on 7th March live in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theater at Hollywood & Highland Center.
