Brittany Murphy Died?

Brittany Murphy dead? Sadly it so, she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

Her mom discovered Murphy unconscious in the shower. When the paramedics arrived, they quickly determined that Brittany is in full cardiac arrest and they quickly tried to revive her administering CPR. The paramedics continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Murphy wasn't responding. Brittany Murphy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The LAPD launched a investigation about the cause of death of Brittany Murphy.

Lindsay Lohan spends 84 minutes in jail

Lindsay Lohan was a jailbird for just 84 minutes Thursday, becoming the latest celebrity to serve less than a day for a drunken driving offense.

Lohan, 21, turned herself in to the Los Angeles County women’s detention center in Lynwood at 10:30 a.m. She was searched, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell in the inmate reception area but got to keep her street clothes, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

“She was cooperative,” he said.

Lohan was released at 11:54 a.m. Her original daylong sentence was reduced because she met criteria that took into account overcrowding at the lockup and the fact that her crime was nonviolent, Whitmore said.

Did the celebrity receive special treatment?

“Absolutely not. This is what we do for most everybody in this position,” Whitmore said. In fact, 30 to 50 women are granted early releases from the facility every day, he added.

In May, the star of “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” was arrested after crashing her Mercedes-Benz into a tree in Beverly Hills. She was arrested again in July after the mother of Lohan’s former personal assistant called 911 to report that her car was being chased by an SUV. The chase ended in Santa Monica, where police arrested Lohan for being behind the wheel. In both cases, Lohan was found in possession of small amounts of cocaine.

In August, she reached a plea deal on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from the arrests. The judge sentenced her to four days in jail the mandatory minimum for a second drunken-driving offense but gave her credit for 24 hours already served. She elected to complete 10 days of community service instead of 48 hours behind bars.

A company that handles royalties and income from commercials and other projects for James Brown’s estate has significantly less money than it should, a lawyer for the late soul singer’s family said.

Much of the money that was supposed to be going to James Brown Enterprise Inc. instead ended up in a company established by a former trustee accused of misappropriating $7 million from the singer, attorney Louis Levenson said Thursday after a court hearing to sort through Brown’s finances.

The company collected money earned by Brown’s endeavors while he was alive and continued to do so after he died on Christmas, but never gave the money to the singer, Levenson said.

“That probably the greatest entertainer of all time should be essentially working as an indentured servant for a company that he has no ownership of is absolutely irresponsible and insulting,” he said.

David Cannon, who quit working for the estate in August after being accused of taking money from it, testified that Brown’s work earned millions of dollars a year.

He said he would give Brown $100,000 a month for “walking-around spending money” because the singer had difficulty managing his finances. Cannon said his company would pay expenses such as plane tickets and equipment needed when the singer went on tour.

Judge Jack Early ordered Cannon to pay $373,000 to Brown’s estate within five days, but Cannon said he couldn’t afford that. He instead offered his beach property in South Carolina which he said was valued at nearly $2 million.

Cannon acknowledged that in August he made an $866,000 deposit to build a house in Honduras, where he planned to retire next year. He said he was currently unemployed and being audited by the IRS.

“You’re treading on very, very, very thin ice,” Early said as he questioned Cannon about the deposit on the house.

The judge ordered Cannon to provide all of his financial records within 10 days.

The hearing also revealed other financial problems facing Brown’s estate.

The “I Feel Good Trust” established by Brown to help poor children attend school in Georgia and South Carolina has run out of money, said Levenson, the family attorney.

Just when it appeared Julie Myers had cleared every hurdle in her quest to officially become the nation’s top immigration official, a dreadlocked wig and a prisoner’s outfit could cost her the job.

Myers, director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ran into trouble earlier this month after she and two other agency managers gave the “most original” costume award to a white employee who came to the agency’s Halloween party dressed as an escaped prisoner with dreadlocks and darkened skin. The incident drew complaints of racial insensitivity and a fake ass apology from Myers. It also cast doubt on whether she’ll get a confirmation vote before the end of the year, when her original appointment expires.

Myers has apologized repeatedly for the costume incident, saying she was “shocked and horrified” to learn the employee had altered his skin color and conceding “it was inappropriate for me to recognize any individual wearing an escaped prisoner costume.”

Juanita Bynum is late on paying $31,863.39 in property taxes again

It seems as though Juanita Bynum is late on her taxes again. Here is what the AJC is reporting about the situation….

National evangelist Juanita Bynum is late on her property taxes again, according to the Ware County tax assessor’s office.

She owes $31,863.39 in property taxes on her sprawling $4.5 million compound in South Georgia.

“They were due yesterday,” said Ware County Tax Commissioner Steve Barnard Friday.

This is the second time in as many months Bynum has missed the deadline for paying the taxes on her 30-acre, lake-view property in Waycross.

Last month, Barnard threatened to auction off the land because of the pastor’s past due bill.

Bynum said the property was purchased to house the headquarters of Juanita Bynum Ministries and the Mt. Olive Country Spa for women seeking pampering, prayer and spiritual guidance. According to Bynum, her lawyers had applied for a tax exemption on the property, but the deadline for the property taxes came before the paperwork was complete. Taxes for that property were paid in mid-October after penalties had been added to the bill. However, the check for $33,000 presented in payment, was not from Bynum, said Barnard Friday.

“It was from New Light Church World Outreach Ministries … out of Houston, Texas,” Barnard said.

Barnard said he did not know why the church paid the bill. He said the money cleared the bank.

It took a Cincinnati jury less than a day to render a guilty verdict on Wednesday (November 26) in the murder trial of Hosea Thomas. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the jury convicted Thomas on all 11 counts he faced in the 2006 shooting death of rapper T.I.’s boyhood friend and assistant, Philant Johnson, 26, including murder, five counts of felonious assault and illegally having a gun after a felony conviction. Thomas will be sentenced on December 23 and faces a minimum of 20 years in the case, which hinged on the devastating testimony of the defendant’s brother, who was driving the car Thomas was traveling in on the night prosecutors said he opened fire on T.I.’s entourage.

Four other people were hospitalized, including a 28-year-old pregnant woman. She was knocked to the store floor a short distance from where the 34-year-old man was trampled and her fate was unclear. The other three people taken to hospitals suffered minor injuries. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville, Ark., called the incident a “tragic situation” and said the employee came from a temporary agency and was doing maintenance work at the store.

Apparently, stalking is a really stressful hobby. Last night, a woman was found dead outside of Paula’s home last night is believed to be the stalker that LAPD has had to deal with many times in the past. Looks like she took too many pills.

An LAPD spokesperson said the parents of the victim believe their daughter was a “big fan” of Paula’s. Whether this has anything to do with the victim’s death is unclear, but it seems more than a coincidence her body was found just yards from Paula’s home.
There’s no evidence of foul play. The victim has not yet been ID’d. We’re told Paula was not home and possibly shooting for “American Idol.”

I was always under the impression that stalking was a way to relieve stress? I guess not. Anyways, on to the heart of this love story: Who the hell stalks Paula Abdul, of all celebrities? That’s just, well, creepy.

The person could not say what would become of the 2,500-acre property in the bucolic, oak-studded hills of Santa Barbara County’s wine country, 120 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

So now begs the question, does this mean Michael will now hang out at Disney Land in Anaheim during those summer discount days, so he can pick up chicks? Ouch. Payback is a…..well, its releasing a country album, then thinking you will win an award, but not winning the award and in fact, not even getting into said award show, only to end up watching as your boyfriend’s ex girlfriend host the show (looking hotter than you, I might add).

In a last ditch effort to save her career, the “Dukes of Hazzard” star released a country album earlier this year — so it would have made sense to make an appearance at last night’s show.
